Beata saw the messages in the group chat. She hadn't decided how to celebrate her 20th birthday yet. For her 18th birthday, she celebrated with Yael and didn't let River throw a party for her. On her 19th birthday, River threw an even bigger party for her.

Now that she was about to turn 20, Beata was still thinking about it. If she told River that she only wanted to celebrate with Yael this year, will it be too obvious? She knew if she did tell him, he'll be furious.

But this year, Beata really wanted to spend her birthday alone with Yael. He'd been true to his promise since she was 18 years old and he had stuck by his principles for almost two years now.

Beata thought that once she started her education at Innisrial University, things would progress between them but their relationship hadn't gone any further than before, which frustrated Beata immensely.

She even went to Mikayla for advice but Mikayla's tactics against Ash didn't apply when it came to dealing with Yael.

Finally approaching her twentieth birthday soon enough meant those issues were on the agenda again and Beata didn't believe that Yael can refuse her anymore.

However, Beata also wanted to consider River's feelings as well because if he got angry, then she won't know what else can be done about it.

Yael came out of the study room and saw Beata sitting on the couch looking worried, so he sat down next to her asking, "What's wrong? What are you thinking about? You look unhappy."

Beata pouted and said, "I'm thinking about how I want my birthday celebration."

"Mikayla asked you," said Yael who had seen all of the messages in their group chat including River's reaction.

"I want us two alone," said Beata hesitantly, "Will my brother get mad?"

"He will," replied Yael bluntly.

Mikayla had just mentioned it in the group chat, but River was already furious. If Beata were to tell him directly that she and Yael were going to spend time alone together, Yael knew that River would explode.

"What should we do then?" Beata asked.

"Want to celebrate your birthday on a cruise ship?" Yael suggested.

Beata looked at Yael with some confusion. She didn't have any particular feelings towards cruises and wondered why Yael suddenly brought it up.

"Everyone will be on the cruise ship, so we can just assign rooms," said Yael.

Beata thought about it carefully and realized that this way they could avoid any issues with finding a venue. Once they left their rooms, everyone would help her celebrate her birthday together. After returning to their room, she could celebrate her birthday alone with Yael without worrying about River keeping them from going home.

Beata's bright eyes looked at Yael as she said, "Yael, you're so smart."

Yael smiled and replied, "After all, he's your brother and my brother too. We always have to take care of his feelings."
