CHAPTER 8

THE OTHER SIDE

Lexi slowly laid Jessica’s body on the bed while he trying to guess what the girl was thinking through her shady eyes. “Wait a minute, I’ll have Parti and maid to prepare breakfast for you! All those clothes in wardrobe are yours”. Lexi looked the other side. He didn’t like the look of Jessica, who was afraid of him. His lips trembled because of the cold.

Jessica didn’t answer cause she was mad then let Lexi into bathroom.

Jessica looked around the room. She was curious about where Lexi put the key. If she could find the key then she could leave the room immediately.

Jessica didn’t see it. All the windows that were in the room couldn’t be opened from the inside. Jessica needed to break the glass if she wanted to escape through the window.

She was about to give up then sat down. She got a bad feeling from the sight of the crazy man will get tortured again.

Ting..

Her eyes sparkled when she got the key hanging on the door. It turns out that Lexi didn’t hide it. He just turned out to be careless as well for leaving the key hanging in the slot. Jessica breathed a sigh of relief even though she was still wearing towel pajama. She decided to get up from her seat and immediately ran away.

(sound of opened door)

The room door was successfully opened. Then, she immediately set foot to go down the stairs. Unfortunately, the two maids who witnessed her last night were dragged roughly by Lexi, walking towards her with trays of food.

“Where are you going, Miss?” asked the maid. They looked at Jessica from head to toe. Jessica was still wearing pajamas with wet hair. The maids were sure that Lexi had tortured this poor girl last night, moreover, Jessica walked very strangely.

“Help! Help me out of here!”, she whispered. “Help me, please!”. Jessica wanted to run but the pain down there stopped her.

“Stop there!”, shouted Lexi who came out of the room wearing only a towel that he wrapped around his waist. He’s at the end of the stairs. The look on his eyes felt furious.

She really wanted to run but she remained silent in place. Her legs trembled with hunger and also still felt an unbearable stinging. Jessica turned herself in, she raised both her hands.

“This lady doesn’t want to run away Sir, she’s hungry she wants to eat!”, said the maid to defended Jessica. The maids could feel and see the look of fear on the face of this girl who is currently standing before her.

(sound of walking footsteps)

Lexi stepped down the stairs, then stood behind Jessica with an intimidating look.

Jessica was silent like a statue.

‘Why is this so scary, when I don’t see your face! I’m not sure you’re human! Or else you’re a demon!’

“That’s right, I don’t want to leave here!”, said Jessica while silently followed the signal from the maid to keep her standing there.

“Go back into the room! Bring the food to the room !”, said Lexy to Jessica and the maids.

“Yes, Sir!”said the waitress immediately up the stairs followed by Parti that trembled at the sight of Mr. Lexi’s anger.

Lexi stood on the steps, while Jessica stood in front with her back to her. “Are you trying to escape! Don’t let that thought cross your head! From today you are mine! If you try to escape, that means I’ll destroy the orphanage! Got it?”Lexi smiled which looked like the grin of a wolf.

Jessica was silent.

“Let’s go upstairs! We should eat together! I don’t want the woman who gave me pleasure last night to starve to death!”, Lexi queried. She held adn grasped Jessica’s hand up. Then, he led her.

Jessica tried hard to walk as naturally as possible. However, it couldn’t be. It was pain down there.

“You can go faster!”, Lexi ordered. Then he glanced back to realize that it was himself the cause of the girl couldn’t walk normally. The corners of his eyes narrowed to see Jessica biting her lips in pain.

“I told you to stay in bed! Your fault!”, Lexi grumbled. Grabbed Jessica’s body, then he carried her up to second floor. Jessica flinched, her tiny body was so easy carried by Lexy.

Arriving at the room, Parti and the maids immediately left the Master Lexi and this poor girl.

Lexi sat Jessica on the bed, watching the girl’s trembling body. Then, Lexi reached for the plate containing the sandwich. Cut it into four pieces so that it could be directly eaten by Jessica. “Eat it! You can’t get sick!”Lexi was very attentive. “Do you want me to fed you?” his offer felt sorry.

Jessica picked plate. While her hands still shaking, she took the sandwich and chewed it devoured.

Lexi who had just eaten half of sandwich then gave other piece to Jessica. “Eat it! I’ll have the maid make it again!”, he said so attentively.

The girl didn’t answer. All she knew, even though his stomach was full, she still trembled when she saw Lexi. She remembered what that guy did last night.

“Sir! Can I ask you something?”, Jessica ventured to ask.

“Say what you want? As long as you don’t run away, I will fulfill your request” asked Lexi. He was so amazed when he saw Jessica. He lowered his gaze many times. He had to go to work.

“Can I keep working? I have to keep working to keep raising money. I promise I won’t run away”, Jessica tried to trick Lexi. Who wants to live with that crazy guy? Freedom is expensive, she won’t all her lifetime ruled by Lexi.

“Yes, there will be two bodyguards who will keep an eye on you while you work. Are you sure you want to work? Doesn’t ‘it’ still hurt? Your footstep is still weird” Lexi said as flat as possible.

Jessica was on silent. Lexi’s words were true. She breathed a sigh of despair. She watched Lexi standing staring out of the glass. It was raining outside, but it was still morning. The sky was cloudy.

Lexi is not bad. He has tall with a stocky body. He looked so strong in bed. Jessica proved it last night. As for the face, he’s handsome. He has thick eyebrows that make him cool. The jaws are firm with a plane chest. He is very handsome even he just doing nothing.

“You stare me?” Lexi asked Jessica who has been watching him secretly. “I’m so handsome, right?” This guy guessed confidently.

Jessica nodded quickly.

“Does it still hurt?” Lexi asked. He was walking over then sitting on the edge of the bed.

Jessica was just on silent.

“Yes, it still hurts! It hurts! It all because of you. You’re Crazy! Just watch out! When I get out of here! I will report you directly to the police and you will go to jail!’

Lexy said “I know how not to get sick”. He put a glass on desk while he sat closer to the girl. “You want to get well soon, right?” his offered. He was trying to joke with Jessica also stared at with a look of hate and anger. Jessica was scared, too.

This girl nodded. Lately, Jessica observed that Lexi opened drawer to get medicine for her. However, it was wrong. Lexi didn’t open the drawer but opened the blanket again.

“Let’s do it again! That way you won’t feel pain anymore” Lexi whispered in Jessica’s ear while held her hands.From NôvelDrama.Org.

Jessica closed her eyes and shook her head vigorously. It was very frightened.

“It’s rainy and cold. I’ll warm you up, Jess” Lexi hold Jessica’s hand gently.

“Don’t you have to go to work!”Jessica remembered Lexi’s words. There was no way he was screaming for help.

“Do you forget this is Sunday?” Lexi immediately hugged her tightly. Lexy was up on this girl’s body.

Jessica’s eyes widened.

“Sunday? Then what are you gonna do if you don’t go to work? Wait! It’s not like we’re gonna be in this room all day, is it?” Jessica still didn’t dare to open her eyelids.
