Chapter 39: Slander
“Did you know Emma worked at an escape club as a dancer, before posing as a hospital nurse?”
Alden was ignoring Lily, however, her question seemed to successfully get his attention.
“What the hell are you talking about?” Alden asked impatiently.
“With this attitude, you don’t know about it.” Lily concluded, her tone a bit sarcastic: “Acknowledge Emma’s ability to hide. She can deceive you – she is known as suspicious, and intelligent. Or are you just an idiot? ”
Alden suddenly went on a rampage. He squeezed Lily’s shoulders, interrogating her. Although he couldn’t see it, Alden did a great job catching Lily.
“Speak quickly, is what you just said true?” Alden’s voice commanded, his expression terrifying. It made Lily shiver a little.
“Speak,” Alden shouted impatiently when Lily didn’t even open her mouth.
“That’s right.” When Lily finally regained her senses, she timidly revealed, “I once met Emma who worked at a strip club.”
Afraid that Alden would not believe her, Lily bravely swore.
“What I say is all true, don’t believe you can let someone verify. If you find out what I say is a lie, you can punish me.”
Lily’s confident, one could say arrogant attitude made Alden flinch. Honestly, he couldn’t believe Emma was so bad. But with what she did to Alden, he had to believe Lily was right about Emma.
“Does Dante know about this?” Alden lowered his voice, inquiring.
Lily laughed mockingly and hurriedly revealed further:
“Dante is the one who tasted her before you. You know what I mean. Dante loves to possess his goods. That’s completely normal at the club.”
After hearing that, Alden gasped. It was unexpected that the shock he had to go through was so persistent and terrible. Right now Alden’s mind was in a mess. He couldn’t believe he was hit by such a spectacular trick. Not to mention, his friend kept quiet despite him being tricked by Emma.
Is Alden very poor?
“Why did he never tell me about it?” Alden asked, half wondering, half angry.
“I don’t know, go and ask Dante.” Lily speculated: “Looks like it’s Dante’s work ethic. Or Emma has promised Dante to play with her body freely.”
The more Alden heard, the more indignant he became. His hands unconsciously clenched into fists.
Seeing Alden become like that. Weak in defense. Lily was still not satisfied with herself being hated by Alden. And to make matters worse, she blatantly lied about many more things. Especially about Cara, who Lily wanted to destroy before becoming a boil in Lily’s eyes. Lily needs to get rid of Cara so that Alden doesn’t covet Cara.
“As for Cara, do you think Cara is only doing administrative work at the club?” Lily’s question once again caught Alden’s attention.
“What do you mean by this?” Alden asked. He also wants to know about Cara. Rather, Alden wants to collect evidence that Cara is a bad person so that he can smile triumphantly in front of Gavin – who always defends and talks well about Cara. Alden will prove to the family that Cara is not what she seems to be, innocent and holy. According to Alden, the family should soon see Cara’s real face, so Cara will not be able to carry out her dark intentions.
Lily saw Alden’s curious expression and smiled maliciously. Looks like her plan was successful beyond expectations. Lily smiled and even though Alden couldn’t see that smile, he felt a chill down his spine.
“You’re a smart person. Of course, you have to understand what I mean. Why ask like a fool?” Lily had sarcasm. Her smile was arrogant.
“If you have something to say, say it clearly, don’t hide it,” Alden demanded.
“Do you want to know about Cara?” Lily probed.
“That’s right. I want to know about Cara.” Alden did not hide it, on the contrary, blatantly forced Lily to meet his demands: “So tell me.”
“It’s fine to tell you. But what do I get in return?” Lily is not simple. So when there is an opportunity to achieve her goal, she is ready to take advantage.
“Just say whatever you want. That’s all I can do.” Without thinking, Alden easily fell into Lily’s lap. The girl secretly rejoiced in her heart, the corner of her mouth owed an excited smile.
“That’s what you said. Don’t take your word for it.”
“Many words. Speak quickly.” Alden impatiently urged. This behavior further increased Lily’s confidence. And so she calmly put slander and bad news about Cara.

Dante lightly pressed Cara on the shoulder, how much he wanted to show his affection. Cara is looking forward to Alden and Lily’s return as soon as possible. Ten minutes passed and still nothing for them to return. Cara gets scared and decides to go back to her room.
“Sorry, Dante. I’m not feeling well, so I’ll go to my room and lie down for a while.”
“Let me take you away.” Dante quickly stood up and started pushing Cara’s wheelchair.
As she passed Alen’s room, Cara was surprised to see Alden and Lily kissing passionately. Cara gasped and was a little scared.
“Lily,” exclaimed Dante, sounding angry.
The couple was startled, and the kiss was interrupted.
“What’s that? You’ve never seen two people kiss?” Lily still hugged Alden’s neck, while glaring at Dante.
“You…” Dante was about to say something but was interrupted by Lily.
“What about me? Leave us alone. You two should go back to your rooms and quickly do what you want. I bet you’re just as anxious and eager as we are.” Lily purposely said it subtly, so that Alden misunderstood Cara. Cara didn’t understand at first. But when she caught Dante’s eyes looking at her, Cara suddenly felt a chill.
“Hurry up, don’t bother us.”
Cara said, intending to drive them both away.
Dante didn’t bother arguing anymore, continuing to take Cara back to her room. As the wheelchair passed by, Cara caught a glimpse of Alden, who was also looking in her direction. At that moment, Cara smiled faintly. Lily is a licentious woman who likes to play around. She didn’t expect it to turn out that Alden was such a promiscuous type. Cara was a little disappointed in Alden.
As soon as she entered the room, Cara called to chase Dante well.
“Thank you, Dante. I’ll take my medicine and go to bed.”
“I’ll help you.”
“It’s not necessary.”
Dante didn’t listen and lifted Cara out of the wheelchair and set her down on the bed.
“This bed is so big, Cara,” Danta remarked, deliberately using a seductive voice, as he sat down next to Cara.
“Yes, Mrs. Agatha thinks it’s good for me.”
“You’re so beautiful Cara, you smell good.” Dante approached.
“Dante, I need a break.” Cara tried to move away.
Dante didn’t care, moving closer to her. He kisses Cara. Cara tried to push Dante away, but he was taller and stronger. Cara’s injured leg was the only part that was free, so she kicked Dante out.
“I’m not biting, Cara.”
“But this annoys me. I don’t like it, please get out.”
“Don’t worry, you will soon be comfortable.”
Cara shook her head, trying to teleport back, away from Dante.
“Stay there, Cara,” Dante demanded. Grab hold of Cara’s hand, then he forcibly kissed Cara. Cara used all her strength to push Dante away, she even scratched his face with her fingernails. The pain from Cara’s scratching caused Dante to end the kiss in regret and anger.
“Dante, go away,” Cara screamed in fear, after successfully pushing Dante away. Cara doesn’t care that Dante’s face is bleeding from her scratch.
“Calm down little girl. It was just a kiss.” Dante, though angry, wanted to swear, even hit Cara. But instead, he deliberately used a coaxing tone, to appease Cara. But Cara didn’t want to hear it. Cara tried to hold back her tears, glaring at Dante.
“Get out,” Cara screamed, frantically throwing pillows at Dante.
Fearing that Cara’s scream would alarm the outsiders, Dante reluctantly gave up his intention.
“I’m sorry Cara, I was in a hurry to scare you. When you’re calmer, let’s talk.”
That never happened, Cara thought, determined to stay away from Dante. Even though the club job pays her well, Cara will quit.
Dante looked apologetic and left. Cara felt a surge of despair and staggered over to lock the door.
