Back in Time: Unshackling From Love (Mikayla Davidson)

Chapter 62

Chapter 62

Following that, Mikayla wholeheartedly threw herself into Jerome’s embrace.

The masculine presence was accompanied by a faint scent of cedar that entered her nose. It caused Mikayla to tremble slightly.

Although there had been a few unexpected incidents and physical contact between her and Jerome recently, being embraced so completely by him was a first.

Their thin clothes were pressed closely together. It transmitted the temperature of his robust and warm chest through to her.

Mikayla could even feel Jerome’s strong heartbeat.

She finally received the full embrace she had yearned for and imagined countless times in her previous life.

Jerome, too, keenly sensed Mikayla’s delicacy and fragrance in his arms.

Perhaps due to the fever heightening his senses, he felt Mikayla melting into him like

water. His breathing became heavy and urgent.

Jerome’s mind heated up at the thought of Mikayla’s soft and moist touch. He instinctively wanted to press her beneath him.

However, as if awakening from a trance, Mikayla wriggled away like an eel, swiftly

escaping his grasp.

“Jerome, are you crazy? You came into my room without reason and tried to take advantage of me!”

Mikayla crossed her arms and glared at him, her face blushing with irritation.

Jerome also felt as though he had lost his mind.

Astonishingly, he felt a sense of emptiness when Mikayla escaped.

His heart seemed to be bitten by something. It was tingling and itching.

He said hoarsely, “What do you mean your room? This is the master bedroom. Half of it is

mine!”

Defer way lived in this house

Indeed, Jerome rarely entered this room after taking ownership, let alone sleeping there:

He rubbed his forehead. He lacked the energy to argue with Mikayla.

Thanks to you, Grandma sent a family doctor to check my condition.

“When the doctor leaves, Grandma will surely inquire about the situation.

“So, reluctantly, I had to move in here to avoid Grandma’s reproach.”

Mikayla retorted, “But these aren’t reasons for you to take advantage of me!”

Jerome casually glanced at the black lingerie lying on the pillow, then smirked at Mikayla. Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

He teased, “You return with such enthusiasm. A normal man wouldn’t be able to resist,

right?”

Mikayla thought that Jerome referring to himself as a normal man was such a joke.

They have been married for over a year. Mikayla couldn’t help but feel exasperated by

Jerome’s recent erratic behavior.

Despite her desire to confront the situation, she knew that doing so would likely result in

further complications.

She swiftly concealed the lingerie she had taken.

Mikayla firmly stated, “This is no place for you. Go back to your room! If you’re unwell,

consider going to the hospital or hiring a male nurse.”

While expressing her frustration, Mikayla suddenly noticed a significant change in the

room. There were various items belonging to Jerome scattered around.

Confirming her suspicion in the bathroom, she found Jerome’s shaving kit and toiletries neatly arranged beside hers.

“Jerome, what’s going on? Weren’t you staying in my room to avoid your grandmother

finding out? Why have you brought so many of your things here?” Mikayla questioned, visibly irritated.

Jerome leaned against her pillow.

He regained composure as he explained, “Since the items are already here, there’s no need to bother with moving them out. Besides, this is the master bedroom. Even if I didn’t live here before, it doesn’t mean I can’t now.”

Frustrated and angered by Jerome’s seemingly Irrational behavior, Mikayla couldn’t help but wonder if he had lost his mind.

She realized that forcing him out was not an option, so she hastily grabbed the pillow Jerome was holding down.

“Fine! If you want to stay, stay! I’ll sleep in the guest room!”
