Back in Time: Unshackling From Love (Mikayla Davidson)

Chapter 284

Chapter 284

“Yes, I’m getting divorced from Jerome. I definitely can’t live here anymore.”

Mikayla Invited Amy, “After I move into a new house, you can resign and come with me.”

She had planned to return to the Davidson residence to stay with Eduard.

However, she would be going to Mocato Investments, which was too far from Eduard’s place in the suburbs. Hence, she decided to buy a house near the company, which was more convenient.

When Amy heard that, she became even more nervous and asked, “Madam, what do you mean by divorce? Aren’t you and Mr. Miller getting along well? Does he know that you’re moving out?”

“I’ll tell him,” Mikayla responded and asked the two staff to go upstairs with her.

She assumed she didn’t have much stuff. She had even asked Amy to clear a batch of clothing before.

Among the remaining clothes, she chose some new and favorite ones, as well as some jewelry, handbags, and skin care cosmetics.

Despite not bringing all the things, she nonetheless packed many suitcases.

Mikayla couldn’t take them all by herself, so she asked for help. When the movers carried her things

down, she sighed.

Back then, Eduard was worried she would be mistreated once she married. So, he gave her two carloads

of clothes, accessories, bedding, and all kinds of furniture and appliances. Now that she was leaving, she could only take away so few things, which was a loss.

Fortunately, she had spent Jerome’s money on jewelry and gold, so she wouldn’t leave empty– handed like

a movie’s tragic heroine

When Mikayla carried her handbag downstairs, Amy was still standing in the dining room, at a loss.

“Madam, can’t you wait until Mr. Miller comes back?”

“No, Amy. I’ll leave now. Thank you for taking care of me. Please take some time to consider my offer.”

After saying that, Mikayla stepped out of the door.

The moving company had a special vehicle, and her things had been moved inside. She asked the staff to send the things to a hotel in Marisville. Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Eduard’s mood hadn’t recovered since Todd’s death, so she decided not to return and make him sad.

Mikayla got into her Maserati and was ready to drive to the hotel. Right then, her phone rang.

Seeing Jerome’s number, she assumed Amy had told him everything. She didn’t want to mess with him at that moment, so she muted her phone.

She booked a business suite at the hotel and ordered the staff to take her things upstairs. She relaxed greatly as she lay on the hotel’s enormous and comfy bed.

For now, she was at least halfway to freedom. The single life she had been looking forward to was about

to begin.

Mikayla wanted to share her joy with Celeste after she sorted her things out. But then, her WhatsApp notification beeped.

It was from Jerome. He asked her why she had left Dragoncrest Villa. What other reasons could there be?

Mikayla replied to him: “We’re getting divorced. Of course, I have to move out.”

“Are you that eager to get divorced?”

“Are you still unwilling to get a divorce?”

“Move back. We can discuss it when I return. I’ll give you 100 million dollars in alimony.”

Although Mikayla wanted the money, she felt that Jerome’s request was meaningless.

“I’m going to move out anyway. You don’t need to keep me.

“200 million dollars.”

He appeared to go all out in his request to keep her.

Mikayla called Jerome. “First, tell me why I should go back to Dragoncrest Villa. Otherwise, I won’t accept

your money.”
