Arrogant Man VS Unyielding Woman

Chapter 483 You Get Out Of My House

Chapter 483 You Get Out Of My House

Jean's face changed immediately as she saw that Moore was approaching Edna. A worried look

replaced the pale complexion she usually carried.

'Dammit, Moore. How can you be so stupid? How can you be such a dumb-o! Can't you notice that

Edna holds a lot of grudges against Jade? If she finds out, we're in for a hell of a lot of trouble.

Why do you get yourself into this argument and let Edna bay for your blood?

And Moore, the way I see it, I don't think Edna is going to let you go so easily this time!" Jean thought

secretly.

Edna, on the other hand, was surprised to see Moore getting closer to her step-by-step. The angered

look she was flaunting just now dissolved immediately into a professional smile on her face.

"Are you here looking for me? Let's get it over with quickly! Did you figure out what happened

yesterday, Edna?" Moore asked Edna with a poker face. He wasn't wasting any of his time in

exchanging pleasantries with this woman.

"Sure, I did," Edna responded a while later. She was dazed for a second as Moore's words registered

on her mind. She had never expected that the first thing Moore would mention would be the car

accident from yesterday.

Instead of giving him an answer, Edna turned to look at Jade. She saw that Jade was standing nearby

with an angry look on her face, which made her realize that Moore was actually trying to help Jade

instead of helping her.

At the other side, Zed and Jean had also never imagined that Moore would go directly speak to Edna

about that car accident. Their faces changed instantly after hearing his words.

They hadn't told Jade about the car accident yet!

'If my mother finds out what happened yesterday, this whole event is going to get a lot worse, ' Zed

thought secretly.

"Hanley says he didn't do it. It's not him. Hanley and I went to the police station yesterday. Whatever

happened, it wasn't Hanley's trick. And he has no reason to lie, neither do I," Edna continued and

looked at Moore with that smile again.

"Really?" Moore dejected instantly as a sneer passed across his face. "Is that your explanation, Edna?

Is that the best you can give? Oh wait, of course! That's how you do things!"

"Do we have any misunderstandings, Mr. Moore? Or are you prejudiced against my little boy Hanley? If

you don't trust me, you can go to the police station to check for more details. Hanley doesn't know

those people at all. How could it be him? Mr. Moore, you shouldn't wrongfully accuse an innocent

person. He didn't rig the car accident you were in."

Though Edna was still wearing a smile, her words didn't reflect that any more.

"What car accident?" Jade didn't understand what the two of them were talking about. She realized that

there was something really important which she had missed. She interjected with her question.

Zed and Jean's face changed again.

Inevitably, Jade had gotten suspicious from their sentences and was now, intending to find out the

truth. That was why she had asked.

"Don't you know?" Edna looked at Jade and asked with a surprised look on her face. Then she

continued,"Mr. Moore's car collided with another yesterday and he accused my son of arranging for

some young men to do that. But as far as I know, my son is innocent."

Jade's face darkened when she heard about the car accident. She turned to look at Jean and asked

sternly,"Jean, is that the reason you came back so late last night? Were you in that accident too?"

"I will explain it later, mother," Zed immediately tried to smoothen the whole situation.

Edna realized something and instantly added,"Evidently you don't know what happened, Jade! As far

as I know, Mrs. Jean was sitting in the car, too. You...."

Jade looked fiercely at Edna's face and snapped,"Edna Huang, stop it! Shut up! You're not welcome.

You get out of my house right now!"

Seeing that Jade was getting provoked so easily made Edna feel really pleased and she gave a big

smile, continuing to provoke her even more. "I'm curious why you let a suspicious man stay in your

house, Jade. I'm talking about Moore. His family name is Bai, yes. But you still don't know if he is that Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

bastard or not! You really should be careful! He may cause real troubles for your family!"

It seemed like something was going to happen next.

The dark look on Jade's face had deepened after hearing Edna's words. The sight of Edna standing

there and laughing at her made her feel furious and she almost wanted to slap her tight. But just at that

moment, something she had said registered beyond the anger,"What did you mean when you said that

his family name is Bai. Are you saying that Moore is that ..." After a bit of thinking, all the pieces came

together in Jade's mind and she was dumbstruck! The disgust and confusion she was feeling seemed

to reach her stomach and make it rumble. She turned her face towards Moore and looked fiercely at

him.

Jean was getting more and more anxious by the minute, especially now that Jade had found out

Moore's true identity. She had closed her eyes in an effort to compose herself and was thinking of

some plans inwardly.

'Edna sure is a wily old fox. She knows well how to change the direction of a conversation and lead it

somewhere only by a few words.

And to add to the misery, she knows Jade very well, even better than Jade herself.

She knows her so well that she can provoke her even after so many years without making much of an

effort.

It seems like it is hard to get the whole situation under control.'

Jean couldn't figure out a way to control the whole situation just yet, but she knew she had to anyway.

Therefore, she took a deep breath and then walked over towards Jade. "Mother, how about we talk

about Moore's identity later. Now's not the time for that, you know? Moore is the least of our concerns

at the moment. Why are you getting provoked by just a few words of a stranger? We should all take a

deep breath and compose ourselves."

Zed had planned to stop Jean as soon as he had seen her approach Jade. To him, it wasn't a good

idea to get Jean involved in these family affairs. But now, hearing her words, he realized that Jean

would be the perfect fit to handle the situation, so he withdrew his hand which was still hanging in the

air.

A satisfied smile had crept over his face as soon as he had heard her words.

He trusted Jean was capable of coping with it. He'd always thought Jean was smart.

Jade herself was stunned for a few seconds by Jean's words. But a while later, she understood what

Jean was trying to say and the anger on her face faded. She thought to herself, 'Jean is right. This is

not the proper time to ask more details about Moore.

I should pay more attention to this whole Edna affair. I can't let her win.

We haven't met for almost twenty years. But to this date, Edna still holds that sharp tongue that she

always used to have.

If it were not for Jean, I would have lost my ground.'

She forgot about Moore and became angry on Edna again,"Edna! No matter what you say, I will never

trust you. If I were you, I would get out of here right now and never show my face here again!"

"Jade, no matter what happened between us all the way back, we were close friends before and I have

come all the way over here just for telling you about the true identity of Moore. After everything I've

done for you, I at least deserve a 'Thank you'. And by the way, may I sit down and have a cup of tea?"

Edna feigned a big smile on her face and asked. She didn't care about how rude Jade was to her or

how angry she was. Her very mission was to provoke her right now.

"Oh Jesus! Do you think I would believe what you are saying? Who knows what tricks you are up to?

Stop pretending to be kind or friendly! I know you very well!" Jade replied in a sarcastic tone.

"How can you treat me like that, Jade?" Edna shook her head and a sorrowful look appeared on her

face. She truly was remarkable in terms of crocodile tears. "Yes, you're right! I did you wrong! And yes,

I am to blame for the death of your baby, but not completely! It wasn't all my fault, you know? You're the

one to be blamed too. The way I see it, it was a punishment from God for what you have done! For

God, you didn't deserve a baby at that time. That's why you lost it!"

"Shut the hell up!" Jade's face was getting paler and paler while she heard what Edna was saying and

finally, she couldn't hold it anymore.

"You know what? I can't believe it! I can't believe that even after all this time, you still don't want to

admit that you did something wrong, do you? Well, let me tell you and give you a newsflash! It was all

your fault! It was you who took advantage of my innocence and my kindness to create an opportunity

for you and Sean. It was you who lied to me and forced me to help you get Sean's love."

Now Edna had completely lost it and was roaring at Jade.

"What does she mean, Jade?" Sean heard his name but he didn't know what was going on. He had

been following the altercation closely but hadn't figured out the entire story.

"Nothing..." Jade stammered. There was a panicked look on her face and she wasn't looking at Sean

while replying. Her eyes were focused on the ground.

From her behaviour, Sean clearly understood that Jade was trying to conceal something. Even Jean

and Zed felt that something was going to happen soon from the turn events were taking.

'It seems like Edna has come to my house just to create a scene!' Zed concluded inwardly.

"HEY! EDNA! I don't care what happened in the past! For me, my mother is my father's legal wife now

and you're married to Mr. Gary Bai. You're his wife and that is the only reason I am being considerate

and polite towards you right now, you hear me? But if you still want to challenge me, then make sure

you are prepared because I am not going to take it easy on you then. I will make sure you find out

exactly what I am capable of!"

Zed had suddenly stepped forward and intervened. There was fury in his eyes that made her blink.
