Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

Nelly’s brows furrowed as the words Fabian whispered to her in the hospital resounded in her mind.

“He said Dave would never be seen again in the future. Does Alpha Kilian have a hand in this?” Nelly wondered.

Deep down, a sense of unease settled in her. She couldn’t shake the feeling that Alpha Kilian was somehow involved. Otherwise, why would Fabian have mentioned him?

But at the same time, she couldn’t believe that Alpha Kilian would stoop to such actions for her. She knew the man had his flaws, but she didn’t think he would go this far.

Lost in her thoughts, Nelly was snapped back to reality by Alpha Wade’s voice. He called out to her twice, concern evident in his tone. “Silly girl, what troubles your mind?”

Nelly shook off her daze and replied softly, “I was thinking about who could have acted so quickly…”

“That despicable man deserves punishment, regardless of who did it. It’s a great deed, whoever it was,” Alpha Wade responded, his anger simmering beneath his words.

Nelly remained silent, contemplating the situation.

“If only they had waited a bit longer, I would have gone to the company and beaten that crook myself,” Alpha Wade growled, unable to contain his fury.

Nelly looked at her grandfather with a mixture of understanding and concern. “Grandpa, I appreciate your protectiveness, but I don’t want you to act impulsively. Instead of resorting to violence, wouldn’t his current fate torment him more?”

Alpha Wade grumbled but was appeased by Nelly’s words. “Fine, fine. I’ll try my best to control myself.”

Nelly smiled at him, a glimmer of relief in her eyes. “Thank you, Grandpa. I’ll be more careful in the future, and I hope you’ll remain level-headed no matter what happens.”Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

Alpha Wade couldn’t argue with his granddaughter’s logic. “I’ll do my best.”

With that, Nelly’s smile widened. “Okay, Grandpa. I’ll go back to my room and rest now. Please don’t tell the triplets about what happened, I don’t want them to worry.”

Alpha Wade nodded and promised to keep it a secret. “Of course, I won’t say a word. Just go rest, and I’ll bring you some soup.”

“Mhm!” Nelly grinned before getting up and heading towards her bedroom.

As she changed into comfortable silk pajamas and settled onto her bed, Nelly initially planned to sleep in the dim surroundings. However, sleep eluded her, and she found herself tossing and turning.

Thoughts of Dave’s arrest kept surfacing in her mind, and an intuition told her that it wasn’t a mere coincidence.

Besides Alpha Kilian, she couldn’t think of anyone else who had the motive or capability to do such a thing.

Lost in her thoughts, Nelly finally fell into a deep slumber of unknown duration.

When she woke up, it was already nighttime. The streetlights outside her window had illuminated the surroundings.

Just as she was about to get up, her phone rang. Seeing Nelson’s name on the caller ID, Nelly picked up without hesitation.

“N-Nelly,” Nelson’s voice trembled on the other end.

“What’s the matter, Mr. Yondel?” Nelly questioned, her instincts telling her that Nelson wasn’t someone who would willingly put her in danger.

“Nelly, I messed up. But I swear I didn’t do it on purpose. I didn’t mean to harm you,” Nelson frantically explained.

Nelly sensed that there was more to his words. “Did you know about it?”

“Nelly, I just found out. I’m so sorry for what happened,” Nelson persisted in his apologies.

“It’s okay. I believe you didn’t intend for this to happen, and it was just a coincidence,” Nelly assured him.

“Really? Thank you, Nelly!” Nelson expressed his gratitude, his voice filled with relief.

Nelly fell into deep thought, realizing that Alpha Kilian’s actions were becoming more puzzling by the minute.

If it was revenge for her sake, any decent person would have had the courage to do it. But taking revenge on Dave and even personally contacting her manager seemed excessive.

After some hesitation, Nelly made up her mind and dialed Alpha Kilian’s number.

But before she could say anything, a voice on the other end informed her, “Sorry, the number you have dialed is currently unavailable.”

Nelly hung up, feeling a mix of frustration and confusion. She decided to try reaching out to him again later.

As she lazed in bed, letting her mind wander, the door creaked open silently. Donna peeked in, her head poking through the opening.

When she saw Nelly awake, Donna asked, “Nelly, are you up?”

“Yes, I am,” Nelly replied lazily as she observed Donna enter the room. The child sat on the bed, her gaze focused on Nelly’s injured hand. “Mommy, does it hurt?”

Nelly shook her head, a smile gracing her lips. “Not at all.”

Donna gently took Nelly’s hand, blowing on it twice. “You must be more careful next time, Mommy. Otherwise, it’ll break my heart.”

“Okay, I understand,” Nelly replied.

A warmth spread through Nelly’s heart as she watched her daughter’s caring nature.

Though she didn’t often express it, it was her children who brought healing to her wounded heart.

“Mommy, are you hungry?” Donna asked, her eyes shining with excitement. “Gramps made soup for you, and he’s waiting for you to drink it.”

Nelly’s stomach growled, and she admitted sheepishly, “Yes, I am quite hungry.”

“I’ll bring the soup and feed you,” Donna exclaimed happily, ready to jump off the bed. But before she could move, Tony walked into the room, holding a bowl of soup.

The night carried on, filled with uncertainty, questions, and a family’s love for each other.
