Chapter 237 You Two Still Have the Nerve to Mess Around
Chapter 237 You Two Still Have the Nerve to Mess Around
"I feel more sorry for you. She had bullied you for several years when both of you were little."
Janet and Sven grew up together abroad. They had numerous fights with each other very often when
they were still young. There were times that Sven even lost to Janet...
Sven still felt so upset and dismayed when he remembered those days.
Janet blushed, stared at Daniel and retored, "You two are messing with me, aren't you?"
"Uh-huh." Daniel was indeed teasing her. He didn't shy away from admitting it.
Janet got pissed off. She ran to him, grabbed his arm and gifted him a nasty bite.
Daniel did not dodge, and he let her do whatever she wanted. He actually knew right away what she
would do.
Shelly laughed so hard and interrupted the both of them, "Take it easy, Jane. You must take the
responsibility if he hurt himself. You know that, right?"
"Ha! Ha!" They all laughed heartily at Shelly's joke.
Janet let go of Daniel's arm but just stared at him. His careless expression stayed the same.
If it were not for the obvious teeth marks on his arm, Janet would thought she had bit someone else.
Daniel withdrew his arm slowly and said, "Whether she wants it or not, she can't run away from me. He
loves me too much."
His voice was loud enough for everyone to hear.
Janet's heart beat faster. 'What did he mean by that? Does he really love her? Why would he say
something like that?'
"Daniel, when do you want to get married?" Angela asked, trying to bring up the topic.
"Yes and when? You have a lovely daughter together, but you still have the nerve to mess around?"
said Sally.
...
Janet walked a few steps away from him and said, "You're all overthinking. He has a fiancee."
"Daniel is a beautiful and intelligent man. It's natural that other women would try everything to get him.
Janet, you go for it and compete." Sven patted her on the shoulder.
'Why should I compete for him? Why me and not Daniel?' Janet tried to convince herself not to give in.
Everyone kept talking about Daniel and Janet's confusing relationship.
Janet quickly changed the subject and said, "Let's go downhill. The Ten-Mile scene is right there, am I
correct? Let's go. It's very beautiful in there."
Janet picked up her coat, put it on and began to head downhill.
Sven gently patted Daniel on the shoulder. Though Sven did not even say a single word, he delivered
his message very clearly. Daniel and Sven knew each other so well. Then he held Nicole's arm and
followed Janet.
The road repairmen were indeed very great in what they do. They had build a solid road hovering in
thin air over the mountains.
The road was made of wood, as well as the rail. They were all very solid. Janet meant to walk ahead of
them to see the scene first, but she was a little afraid of heights.
She walked slowly. The scene was really beautiful. Janet could not help but stop to take pictures. She
was taking pictures when Daniel walked past her.
The scene was fascinating and breathtaking. There were clouds and mist around the mountains. It
seemed that they were stepping into a magical fairyland.
She took dozens of pictures.
The roads in the mountain were filled of twists and turns. Before she knew it, she was already the last
one in the pack. Everyone else was gone.
But she had to move very slowly as she was afraid of heights. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
As she turned a corner, the first one she saw was Daniel.
Janet breathed a sigh of relief when she saw everyone. She quickened her pace some and walked
past Daniel.
The road became wider, so she wanted to catch up with others.
After that, Daniel was the last in line.
He picked up his pace after he made sure that Janet had kept up with others.
'The ten kilometre painted canvas' was certainly very beautiful. The scene felt different at every step.
Everyone was impressed by the natural greatness of the motherland.
The sun began to set in the west before they realize what was happening.
Shelly pointed at the beautiful golden sunset and said, "Look. The sunset is very majestic."
Everyone looked in the direction of the sun.
It reminded Janet of an old poem. Sunset is of infinite beauty except the impending of dusk.
The sunset was really beautiful like the one she saw in Africa with Bill.
She took out her phone and took more pictures to save this moment.
When she was going through the pictures, she noticed that Daniel was in several of them again.
"Jane, though it's called the ten kilometre painted canvas, is it really ten kilometers? This is really
exhausting." Angela felt tired and complained.
Janet thought about the greeting board she saw before she went into the scenic spot and said, "No, I
don't think so. It's only several miles for touring."
Angela was relieved when she heard it. She noticed that Jerry has already carried Sally on his back.
Then she ran to Sven and said, "Sven, can you carry me on your back, too?"
Sven sighed and said, "Angela, what about Nicole if I carry you? Can't you walk by yourself? That's the
meaning of travel."
Nicole shook Sven's arm and said, "I took a break a while ago. I am fine. You can carry Angela."
"Nicole is the best!" said Angela happily, while happily holding Nicole's arm.
Sven glanced at Angela and said, "I'll carry Nicole for a while first. We will see."
... Angela wanted to cry after she heard what Sven said.
Sven carried Nicole on his back without saying anything else. Angela followed them from behind and
murmured, "I am getting a boyfriend, and he must be able to carry me while running 20 kilometers."
"Fine. Go find a soldier. But even the strongest soldier still cannot carry you and run 20 kilometers. You
weigh so heavy." said Sven without hesitation, breaking her fantasy for a boyfriend.
Angela moaned, "I'm telling Mom what you're doing to me. You keep on teasing me! She won't like
this!"
"Then I'll tell Dad that you are looking for a boyfriend." said Sven in return.
Chuck loved Angela very much. If he knew she was getting a boyfriend, she could hide nothing from
him. Chuck would ask all kinds of questions.
After listening their conversation, Nicole tweaked Sven's ear and said, "Angela is still a child. Can you
be easier with her? Put me down, and carry Angela."
Angela looked at Nicole like she was a fairy in a cocoon of golden light and said, "You're a goddess, my
goddess. I'll love you forever."
"Oh? Are you drawing my wife over to your side? I don't want to carry you. Sorry." Sven would have put
Nicole down, but he quickened his pace after he heard what Angela said.
Angela endlessly complained about it again, and her loud voice reverberated in the valley. Janet
overheard their conversation and grinned at them.
She walked to Jerry and said, "Jerry, why would a man become so mean when he gets a wife?"
Sven put his wife before everything, as well as Jerry.
Sally walked close to Janet and said, "You can ask the same question to Daniel. I feel the same."
Daniel was so kind to Janet that Sally actually was becoming a little jealous.
"I will not ask him that." Janet pouted. Then she left Jerry and Sally alone and continued admiring the
view.
Suddenly, one of them shouted, "Let's take a break." So they found a place to sit down and relax for a
while.
Janet felt that her toe was a little painful. She took off her shoe and noticed that her little toe on the
right foot had become swollen.
She blew on it and was about to put on the sock. But her foot was held by suddenly someone's hand,
and she was so surprised. Her mouth gaped open.
It was Daniel that held her foot.
He frowned at her, and then looked at swollen toe carefully. Janet panicked, withdrew her foot and put
on the shoe.
"Just sit still!" His voice was so loud that Janet did not have the courage to look at him.
When they started walking again, Daniel kept standing in front of her and would not let her pass by.
