Chapter 16 He doesn’t see me!
To kill time, the bored captive stood close to the glass separating her from the wonderful and forbidden world and began to observe.
For half an hour, she looked at the birds, which were difficult to see in the foliage, but she was still able to make out some of them. She was also worried about the sun breaking through the foliage, under which she so wanted to walk and feel its heat on her skin.
Peering into the forbidden world, she noticed every detail, every little thing, she especially liked to look at the water in the pool flickering behind the trees.
The foliage did not allow her to see it as well as she would like, but when the wind rose, the branches went to the side and a delightful landscape rose before the gaze of the recluse. With all her soul she wanted to get there, and sincerely hoped that the owner would be so kind and allow her to look at the pool closer.
Suddenly, in the field of view of the girl, a man brazenly invaded, frightening her and forcing her to jump away from the window. He walked with huge scissors and trimmed the growing bushes. He paid no attention to her.
“He doesn’t see me! The owner said that the room was not visible from the street!.” She calmed down and returned to the window, eagerly looking at the man, trying to remember his facial features, movements. This new wonderful world began to involve her more and more.
With bulging eyes, she watched the man until he finished his work and left.
“I wonder how good this man is for his woman? Does he help his woman to cleanse herself of evil? Does he care about her? Do all men have their women?” She could not determine by his concentrated face, but he seemed to her a very kind gentleman.

In the ‘school for noble maidens’ where Diana lived and studied, there were separate groups for girls being prepared specifically for harems. They had a special teaching and they were kept, almost all the time, locked up.
She and her sisters were always interested in how these girls differed from them, but they could not find out any information. Once she tried to ask the teacher, but she forbade asking such questions and added that she needed to thank fate for having such freedom, unlike those unfortunate ones who did not.
Diana was really grateful to fate, because at the school, although there were educators and supervisors, no one ever forbade her to move freely around the rooms. She was never scolded for excessive communication between the pupils, even running away with her friends to the next department with the pregnant women, she knew for sure that no one would miss them. The main task of all the maids of the school was to monitor the correct training and not allow them to leave the third level without special permission.
Several times the girl managed to approach the locked room where the babies were kept for the harem. She looked at them through the lattice window, but apart from the many rooms and girls of different ages walking inside, she could not see anything. The teacher ordered not to go to this door anymore and not be interested in these girls.
It was then that she became interested in what a harem was. Something she learned from her pregnant friends, to whom she regularly ran at night. What struck her most was that one man could have up to a hundred women. Which is quite normal for some countries. Diana would never want such a miserable life as she believed, where there were many wards per owner and he could not pay attention to many of them for months. She shuddered at the thought alone.
“If the owner didn’t come to me for a month, I would go crazy with horror! How lucky I am with him, he is so caring and attentive! And I’m the only one with him! And if… I’m not the only one? If he wants to buy someone else? What then?” Diana looked sadly at the bed, at the pole with the mini-stage and smiled.
“No, my Lord is not like that! He will not buy himself a new woman and I will be with him, as he promised! And I will do my best to please him again and again! If I give my all one hundred percent, then he will not need anyone else!” For positive thoughts, she again settled down by the glass, looking at the forbidden world of interest to her.NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
Lunch was brought to Diana late, but she was not hungry, she was overwhelmed with the feelings of inspiration that the world behind the glass gave her.
Every time something strange happened outside the window: a bird flew by, the wind rose, rustling foliage, the heart of the unfortunate woman was again and again filled with a strange feeling. It was a secret hope and an incomprehensible promise. As if someone from above promised her a terrible secret, but did not say when it would happen.
With just the edge of her eyes, she looked at the woman who brought in a tray and took away the remains of the breakfast.
