The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 559

Chapter 559

After thinking about it, Derek decided to rely on Easton.

He called Easton. "Easton, is your mother here now?"

Easton was speechless. He was such a big boy, yet he felt like he did not exist. The first thing his father

asked was how his mother was.

"Yes."

Easton looked at Meredith, who was processing some files in front of the computer. "What do you want,

dad?"

Derek thought for a moment and asked, "Easton, do you want to move somewhere else?"

Easton's eyes lit up. He had long been fed up with staying in this kind of hotel. Although he lived in the

best hotels, the cold, mechanized interior design, coupled with all kinds of formulaic service, made him

annoyed.

He knew that Derek was looking for a suitable house. Now that he finally found one, of course Easton

was happy.

"Of course I do. Have you found a house?"

"Yes, do you want to see it?"

Derek tried to persuade him. Easton was so smart that he immediately understood what Derek was

thinking. "Do you want me to ask mom to go there together?"

Derek couldn't help but laugh. His son knew him so well.

"I'll think of a way, but mom seems weird lately as if she has something on her mind."

Easton said worriedly, "Is grandma not well?"

Derek frowned. "Your grandmother's condition is stable now."

Easton said, "Okay, then I'll find a way to get her to take me out. You can wait for us outside."

Derek naturally agreed, but couldn't help but think about what Easton had just said.

Meredith was in a bad mood now. Because he knew that she was on bad terms with Violet, he didn't

dare to disturb her to make her unhappy.

But now, she still didn't seem happy.

Derek was deep in thought. Was it because of the Smiths?

Meredith didn't want to talk to him, and it was hard for Derek to get involved.

Because of Evelyn, this matter had become even more complex.

Easton thought for a while and felt that he couldn't say it so directly.

"Mom, are you busy this afternoon?"

Meredith was in a daze. She seemed to have been reading the reports on the computer. In fact, her

mind had long been lost.

The Smiths, Evelyn, mom, Derek. These people's affairs were like threads entangled in her brain,

making her very annoyed.

So, when Easton called her, she didn't even hear him.

"Mom?"

Seeing that Meredith was completely distracted, Easton jumped off the bed and touched her arm.

Meredith came to her senses and looked at Easton. She smiled and said, "What's wrong, Easton?

Mom didn't hear you just now."

"I, I feel bored in the hotel."

Easton looked pitiful. "It's all black and white and gray. It looks so cold. I'm not feeling well." From NôvelDrama.Org.

Meredith's heart ached when she heard this.

After all, the hotel was not home, and even if it was luxurious, it was far from comfortable.

Easton was still so young, so it was totally normal for him to feel uncomfortable.

"Then, how about I send you back to J City for a few days? Your great-grandfather probably misses

you too."

When Easton heard this, he shook his head immediately. "I want to stay with you, mom. Why don't we

go to view houses?"

Easton's big eyes blinked at Meredith. After so much preparation, his real purpose was finally revealed.

View houses?

Meredith pondered on it. In the future, if she was going to find her family, she might have to spend a lot

of time in Capital City, and staying in a hotel all the time was not a good choice.

"Why did you think of viewing houses?"

Meredith thought for a moment, nodded and asked.

Easton chuckled. "It's just that I received some relevant ads."

Meredith heard this and did not ask anymore. After all, Easton was a precocious and intelligent child,

so it was not surprising that he would know about this.

"Okay, then which house wins your favor? Let's go and have a look."

Now that Meredith had taken over the company of the Masons, plus the bonus she received in the

design competition a while ago, she could afford a house.

"Okay."

Easton nodded and ran into the bathroom with some clothes. "I'm going to wash my face and change."

Meredith could not help shaking her head when she saw him run in a hurry. He was indeed a child.

Easton went into the bathroom and sat on the toilet to send a message to Derek.

"Done. I said I was going to view houses. Mom agreed."

Derek was in a good mood when he saw this. "That's my son. Smart enough."

"That's right. I'm always smart. Just wait for us at the door."

After Easton finished speaking, he changed his clothes and cleaned himself up.

When he went out, he saw that Meredith was ready to go. "Mom, let's go."

As he spoke, he took Meredith's hand and walked out.

Outside, Meredith was about to reach out for a taxi when Easton pointed to Derek's car, which was

already waiting outside. "That's dad's car. Why don't we take his car?"

Meredith hesitated. "Easton, let's go by ourselves. Your father is very busy."

She still remembered Evelyn's words and did not want to have unnecessary contact with Derek.

Derek saw that they did not come over, so he got out of the car and walked over just in time to hear

Meredith's words.

"It's okay. I'm free now. Get in the car, Easton."

Easton happily followed. The father and son walked in front, while Meredith hesitated behind.

"Dad, did you do something to upset mom? Why didn't she even want to take your car?"

Derek shook his head. "It's a long story. You just need to know that you should help set up your mother

and me."

Although Derek had let go on the surface, he had no intention of giving up.

Now that Parker was coveting Meredith, he couldn't let her have any feelings for the man.

Now it was Derek's plan to keep Meredith first, then solve the troubles of the Xaviers and Meredith's

issues, and finally propose to her.

"I understand." Easton patted Derek on the arm. "I'm your son. If I don't help you, who can I help?"

Meredith watched from behind as the father and son left, her heart full of mixed feelings.

They looked so harmonious and close. How could Easton accept being separated from his father?

However, she must get the bone marrow that could save her mother.

Perhaps, before they were completely cut off, letting them get along with each other for a while longer

could make a precious memory.
