Sec and excitement
Meanwhile, at Whitestone kingdom, Ortega could be seen laying on the bed in the royal clinic. Her eyes were closed, but immediately the someone came inside the room, she opened her eyes to see who the person was.
“I’m glad you’re finally awake,” Agatha, the royal doctor said with a smile as she placed a tray of food on the table which was beside Ortega’s bed.
“Thanks, Agatha,” Ortega replied with a weak smile as she attempted to sit up, by the she felt a pang of pain in her head.
“Careful,” Agatha said, hurrying to help Ortega sit upright on the bed.
“Thanks,” Ortega muttered. “How long was I out?”
“You were out long enough to miss Alpha Derrick’s engagement with Lady Felicia,” Agatha replied as she brought the tray of food and set it in front of Ortega.
Ortega had a surprised expression on her face when she heard that alpha Derrick had been engaged to Felicia. Ever since Felicia arrived at Whitestone kingdom, Ortega knew she and alpha Derrick would probably get engaged, but she wasn’t expecting their engagement to be so soon.
“You look surprised,” Agatha said, noticing the surprised expression on Ortega’s face.
“I’m not surprised,” Ortega chuckled nervously as she began eating.
“Yes, you’re,” Agatha replied. “It’s clearly written all over your face.”
“Fine. You’re right. I’m surprised, not because of the alpha and lady Felicia’s engagement, but how soon they got engaged,” Ortega admitted, and Agatha smiled as she sat beside Ortega.
“And are you happy with their engagement?” Agatha asked with a mischievous smirk.Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.
Ortega choked on her food, causing her to cough, and she immediately grabbed a glass of water, gulping it. Agatha’s question caught her off guard.
As Ortega struggled to compose herself, Agatha couldn’t help but chuckle at her friend’s reaction. “Careful there, Ortega,” she teased, handing her a napkin to dab at her mouth. “I didn’t mean to startle you.”
Ortega took a deep breath, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. “Sorry about that,” she managed to say between coughs. “Your question just caught me off guard, that’s all.”
Agatha’s mischievous smirk widened as she watched Ortega regain her composure. “So, are you happy about the engagement?” she pressed, her tone playful yet probing.
Ortega hesitated, her mind racing with conflicting thoughts. On one hand, she couldn’t deny the pang of jealousy that tugged at her heartstrings at the thought of Derrick being engaged to another woman. But on the other hand, she knew that her feelings for Derrick could never be more than what they were-a forbidden desire she dared not entertain.
“I… I don’t know,” Ortega admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. “It’s complicated.”
Agatha nodded understandingly, her expression softening. “I understand, Ortega. You admire the alpha.”
Ortega scoffed, “And what makes you say that?”
“I’ve noticed the way you gaze at him severally. And I can also sense your feelings for him. It’s one of my special abilities as a werewolf and a witch,” Agatha replied.
“You’re right. I admire the alpha, but that doesn’t mean I have feelings for him,” Ortega said as she continued eating.
“You do, Ortega. You just don’t wan to accept it,” Agatha replied.
Ortega paused mid-bite, her appetite momentarily forgotten as Agatha’s words sank in. She knew there was truth in what her friend was saying, but admitting it out loud felt like a betrayal of her own heart.
“I… I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Ortega stammered, her voice betraying her inner turmoil. “I admire the alpha, yes, but that doesn’t mean I have feelings for him. I don’t have any feelings for him.”
Agatha fixed her with a knowing gaze, her eyes filled with a mixture of empathy and understanding. “Ortega, you don’t have to hide your feelings from me,” she said gently. “I can sense the depth of your emotions, and it’s clear to me that your admiration for the alpha runs deeper than you’re willing to admit.”
Ortega shifted uncomfortably in her seat, her mind racing with conflicting thoughts. She had spent countless hours trying to suppress the forbidden desires that stirred within her whenever she was near Derrick, but now, faced with Agatha’s unwavering insight, she found herself struggling to maintain her facade.
“It’s complicated, Agatha,” Ortega finally confessed, her voice barely above a whisper. “I know I shouldn’t feel this way, but I can’t help it.”
Agatha reached out and gently squeezed Ortega’s hand, offering her a reassuring smile. “It’s okay, Ortega,” she said softly. “Feelings are complicated, especially when it comes to matters of the heart. Just remember, don’t give up on those feelings you have for him.”
“But I’m just his sex slave,” Ortega said.
“Just because you’re a slave doesn’t mean he won’t acknowledge or reciprocate your feelings.” Agatha replied.
“You don’t get it, Agatha,” Ortega said, dropping her spoon on the tray. “Apart From being that alpha’s sex slave, i’m I just a human and not a werewolf, and also, he’s engaged to lady Felicia. So you see, my feelings won’t matter to him.”
Agatha’s expression softened with sympathy as she listened to Ortega’s words. She understood the depth of Ortega’s turmoil, the sense of hopelessness that threatened to consume her.
“I know it seems impossible right now, Ortega,” Agatha said gently, “but love knows no boundaries, not even those of status or species. And just because Derrick is engaged to Lady Felicia doesn’t mean he can’t acknowledge or reciprocate your feelings.”
Ortega’s shoulders sagged with the weight of her doubts, her mind awash with conflicting emotions. “But I’m just his sex slave,” she reiterated, the bitterness evident in her voice.
Agatha shook her head, her eyes filled with determination. “You are so much more than that, Ortega,” she insisted. “You are a person with feelings and desires, worthy of love and respect. And Derrick, for all his faults, is not blind to that fact.”
Ortega’s gaze dropped to the tray of half-eaten food before her, the truth of Agatha’s words ringing painfully true. She longed to believe that there could be a future where she and Derrick could be together, but the obstacles that stood in their way seemed insurmountable.
“I don’t know, Agatha,” Ortega murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. “It just feels… hopeless.”
Agatha reached out and gently lifted Ortega’s chin, forcing her to meet her gaze. “It’s only hopeless if you give up, Ortega,” she said firmly. “You have to believe that your feelings matter, that they have the power to change the course of your destiny. Don’t let fear or doubt hold you back from pursuing what your heart truly desires.”
As Ortega looked into Agatha’s eyes, she saw a glimmer of hope reflected back at her. Perhaps, just perhaps, there was a chance for her to find happiness, even in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.
“Thanks, Agatha,” Ortega said with an appreciative smile.
“You’re welcome,” Agatha replied, rising from the bed.
“So, any luck confessing your feelings to the alpha’s twin brother, Lord Merrick?” Ortega asked with a smirk, and Agatha cheeks became red at the mention of Merrick’s name.
Agatha’s cheeks flushed with embarrassment at the mention of Merrick’s name, and she quickly averted her gaze, hoping to hide her blush. “Um, well, you know how it is,” she stammered, her voice betraying her unease.
Ortega chuckled at Agatha’s reaction, a mischievous glint in her eyes. “Oh, come on, Agatha,” she teased, “don’t tell me you haven’t tried to confess your feelings to Lord Merrick yet.”
Agatha fidgeted nervously with the hem of her gown, her embarrassment evident in the way she avoided Ortega’s gaze. “It’s not that simple,” she muttered, her cheeks still tinged with red.
Ortega raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk playing at the corners of her lips. “Oh, really? And here I thought you were the fearless royal doctor who could handle anything.”
Agatha let out a nervous laugh, her embarrassment giving way to amusement at Ortega’s teasing. “Well, even fearless royal doctors have their moments of weakness,” she admitted, her tone sheepish.
Ortega grinned, enjoying the opportunity to tease her friend in return. “I suppose we’re both in the same boat then,” she quipped, gesturing between the two of them.
Agatha chuckled softly, her embarrassment fading as she shared a moment of camaraderie with Ortega. “I guess we are,” she agreed, her smile warm and genuine.
As Ortega and Agatha shared a lighthearted moment, they were interrupted by a sudden knock on the door. Agatha glanced towards the entrance, her brows furrowing in curiosity. “Come in,” she called out, her voice echoing softly in the room.
The door creaked open, revealing one of the guards standing in the doorway. He bowed respectfully to Agatha before addressing her. “My apologies for the interruption, Doctor Agatha,” he said with a respectful tone.
Agatha nodded in acknowledgement, her expression expectant. “What brings you here?” she inquired, her curiosity piqued by the guard’s unexpected visit.
The guard straightened up, his posture rigid with formality. “The alpha requests the presence of the human,” he replied, his words directed towards Ortega.
Ortega’s heart leaped into her throat at the mention of Derrick’s request. Nervous excitement coursed through her veins, mingling with apprehension as she contemplated the reason behind the alpha’s summons.
Agatha glanced at Ortega, sensing her friend’s apprehension. With a reassuring smile, she turned back to the guard. “Thank you for informing us. Ortega will be there shortly,” she said calmly.
The guard bowed once more before stepping back out of the room, closing the door behind him with a soft click. As the sound of his footsteps faded into the distance, a sense of anticipation hung in the air, leaving Ortega to wonder what awaited her in Derrick’s chamber.
Agatha glanced at Ortega with a gentle smile. “You should probably head to the alpha’s chamber immediately. We wouldn’t want to keep him waiting,” she advised, her tone reassuring.
Ortega nodded in agreement, her heart still fluttering with nervous anticipation. With a determined breath, she swung her legs over the side of the bed and pushed herself upright, ignoring the lingering ache in her muscles.
As Ortega stood up, Agatha approached her with a new gown in hand. “Here,” she said, offering the gown to Ortega. “You should put this on before you go. It’s best to present yourself properly in front of the alpha.”
Ortega accepted the gown gratefully, her fingers trembling slightly as she held it. She couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude towards Agatha for her unwavering support and guidance.
“Thank you, Agatha,” Ortega said sincerely, her voice tinged with emotion.
Agatha smiled warmly at her friend, her eyes filled with understanding. “You’re welcome, Ortega. Now go on, the alpha is waiting for you,” she encouraged, giving Ortega a reassuring pat on the shoulder.
With a determined nod, Ortega made her way towards the dressing area, determined to face whatever awaited her in Derrick’s chamber. As she slipped into the new gown, she couldn’t help but wonder what the alpha wanted to discuss with her. Or he probably wanted to have sex with her again. She smiled at the thought of having sex with the alpha once again.
