Chapter 28 New Beginning

Aleia froze for a while looking at Matthew who was standing at the doorway. His hands were in his pockets, his eyebrows were furrowed, and his expression was not that happy. She knew right at that moment that he was mad.

But why? Is he waiting for her?” Aleia thought.

Out of boredom, she left this morning after he left for work. It was not a big deal cause they have agreed not to meddle with each other’s affairs. It was clear that they can still do everything they wanted.

She tried to recover her composure after a few minutes of going blank. She was still tired. They had a good time with Chelo and her other friends. They went out to race and ate in their favorite resto. She forgot how miserable her life was for a short period.

But she has no one to blame. She decided to marry him even though he loathes her. She clung to that ten percent of hope to soften his heart. But looking at his mad expression, she wonders if she is doing the right thing.

She walked past and tried to ignore his presence. But Matthew grabbed her wrist making her turn to face him.

“Let go, please! It hurts,” she softly said and Matthew let go of her hand.

“Was that the proper way to greet your husband?” he said firmly while looking intently at her eyes.

Aleia took a deep breath, stepped forward, and kissed him on his cheek. “Am I doing it right, husband? Now, if you’ll excuse me. I’m thirsty.”

Also strolled to the kitchen to get some water but Matthew was tailing her.

“We are not yet done, Aleia. Where have you been and why are you dressed like that?” he asked

“It’s none of your….-” She was not able to finish what she was about to say. She was looking at the food on the table, still unpacked and untouched. Then her gaze shifted to him.

“What is happening? What are all these?”

Matthew smiled sadly. “Ah, that. I ordered some ready-to-eat foods so you don’t need to cook. But I was surprised when the guards said that you were out the whole day.”

“Is that a big deal to you?” she said while getting a bottle of water from the fridge, and drinking it in front of him. ” You left for work and I was left here. Alone and bored on the first day after we got married. You did not eat the foods that I prepared for you. You just left like no one was here with you.” Aleia was trying her best not to cry. Not again. Right now, she wanted to go back to the province and cry in front of her mother’s grave.

“You could have told me that you wanted to go out. I’m your husband and I have the right to know your whereabouts. What if something happened to you?” he said and walked slowly to her.

She felt nervous and her heart was beating drastically as Zach was coming closer to her. She tried to step back but she was trapped in the sink.

“You don’t take me as your wife, Zach. I think you just want to get even. Am I right? I knew it from the very start but I still marry you. I can’t blame no one for that,” she stammered and pretended to be strong but deep inside she’s bothered with different emotions.

She was disappointed, nervous, and scared. Zach was just an inch away, she could smell his addicting and manly aroma that can take any woman’s sanity. And maybe just succumb to his will.

“So that was why you let that man kiss you in front of our house? I’m telling you, Aleia, I did not like it.” Aleia gasped for breath when he trailed her cheek softly, that it brought shivers to her spine.” I don’t want anybody to touch you, my wife. You are mine alone.”

Her eyes widened to his possessiveness, still bothered with his breath that was fuming in her face. “Didn’t we agree not to meddle with our lives? You made it clear.”

“I’m cutting it off, now. To hell with that agreement. You are my wife and I have every right on you.”

Aleia chuckled and pushed him a bit.” As easy as that? That is how it works for a wealthy man like you. Why don’t you ask me if I’m okay with that?”

Matthew smiled cunningly while playing with the tip of her hair. ” You can’t handle -If I’ll kiss someone in front of you. My pretty badass wife will surely burst out crying.”

Alexa gritted her teeth in extreme frustration. “Huh! How sure are you? You, arrogant man!”

“Then prove me wrong!” he said, cornered her with his arms and kissed her pouting lips. It was a light kiss that teases her lips. Aleia could not deny that she was somewhat affected by it. It made her want more.

She felt a little shy when he let go of her lips and thought that it was the end.

“I think this is the right time for us to consummate our marriage. Oh, I forgot we did it before the wedding,” he said and claimed her lips hungrily.

He was teasing and biting it like it was the most delicious food on earth. His hands roamed all over her body until they found her proud peak. Zach was massaging it like it was dough, finding the perfect shape for his masterpiece.

Aleia was not able to control her moans as she opened her mouth for more access. And Zach took it as an opportunity to explore what’s inside. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“You are still delectable with all these sweats, wife,” he said and carried her in bridal style. He was still kissing her passionately as they went upstairs. Alexa clung to his arms while his lips are still on hers.

He brought her directly to their room and pinned her to the wall. Their lips still battled like there was a war. She almost screamed his name when she felt his tongue on her peak. She found his hair and grasped for strength. Zach kissed almost every part of her body and she submitted herself with no reservations. After all, he is still her husband.

They were both quiet after that breathtaking and ecstatic ride. There were no words of promises and everything was just two souls who collided.

Aleia’s mind was clouded with many thoughts. What if she gets pregnant and later on Zach will leave her? She can’t afford for her child to live a broken life like her. She can’t take watching her child suffer and beg for his father’s love.

She silently wept with all of that in mind. She does not want it to happen to them. Not in this lifetime.

“Hey! Why are you crying?” Zach whispered as he hugged her. He kissed her cheek and lay beside her. “I’m sorry for everything, Ale. For making you cry over and over again. Can you give me another chance?”

Aleia turned to face him. They are still naked under the sheets.” What do you mean?”

“We will try to make this marriage work and live as a true couple. Do you want that?”

She smiled and nodded though she was also teary-eyed. She did not hear him say he loves her but it would be a good start.

“Stop crying, wife. Wait! I know how to stop you from crying,” he said smiling and claiming her lips again. They spent the night making love and making up for the times that they were not together. Until they drifted to sleep in each other’s arms. Not wanting to let go.
